What is the Rice Purity Test?

The Rice Purity Test is a self-graded survey originating at Rice University in 1924. It asks you to check every statement that applies to you and generates a score between 0 and 100. The higher your score, the fewer experiences you have had.

How many tests do you offer?

We offer four tests: the original 100 question Rice Purity Test, the Girl's Rice Purity Test with 25 questions built for female experiences, the Boy's Rice Purity Test with 25 questions focused on male experiences, and the Rapid Rice Purity Test with 10 questions for a result in under a minute.

Are my answers stored or shared anywhere?

No. Every test runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are never sent to any server, never stored, and never shared with anyone. Your result is yours alone.

Is the test suitable for all ages?

The test contains questions about adult topics including relationships, personal choices, and social behavior. We recommend it for users aged 18 and above.

Where It Started

The Rice Purity Test has been around since 1924. It started as a small university tradition and grew into one of the most taken quizzes on the internet. Millions of people take it every month - out of curiosity, for fun with friends, or just to see where their experiences place them on the spectrum of life.

We saw an opportunity to do it better. A cleaner interface, more detailed results, multiple versions for different audiences, and content that actually helps users understand what their score means. That is how this site was born.
